The Los Angeles Dodgers are basking in their triumph over the New York Yankees in the World Series. The team in blue is exulting in their achievements through various means. The disappointing performance of the Yankees during the World Series is well-known to every MLB enthusiast.

It is widely perceived that the Dodgers’ triumph was partly a result of Aaron Judge’s mishap in Game 5 of the World Series. Surprisingly, the Dodgers put Judge’s dropped ball up for auction and it fetched a sum of $43,510. Although the proceeds were donated to charity, many see this move as a slight to the Yankees’ leader.

Evan Roberts, host at WFAN radio station, shared a similar sentiment upon learning about the auction of the dropped ball. Roberts did not hold back in criticizing the team for their actions. He went on to describe the team as lacking in class.

Many MLB fans, echoing Roberts’ sentiments, believe that the team crossed a line with the auctioning of the ball, especially considering the stature of player like Aaron Judge.

Dodgers Add Infielder David Bote To Their Minor League Roster

The Dodgers appear unfazed by the criticism as they forge ahead with their team-building strategies. Dave Roberts and his team are already being touted as strong contenders for the 2025 World Series title.

The franchise has inked a minor league deal with infielder David Bote. Bote is set to join the spring training squad with prospects of moving up to the majors. The Chicago Cubs secured the slugger with a lucrative five-year $15 million contract.

Bote’s initial stint in the MLB was underwhelming, with a batting line of .239/.319/.408 over 210 plate appearances. Nevertheless, his versatility to play various positions adds value to the team. The Dodgers are also exploring the possibility of signing Teoscar Hernadez.
